EDA’s Equipment Dealers Foundation Announces 2018 Scholarship Recipients

May 24, 2018 (ST. LOUIS, MO) – The Equipment Dealers Foundation (EDF), the charitable organization of the Equipment Dealers Association (EDA), has selected 10 men and women to receive their annual scholarship for the 2018-19 academic year.  The objective of EDF’s scholarship program is to support the education, training and further development of current and potential employees in the equipment industry.

Recipients of the funds are sponsored by dealerships throughout the United States and Canada. This year the EDA will be awarding a total of $20,0000 including the funds matched for students by each sponsoring dealership.

“We are proud to award scholarships to these 10 deserving candidates to aid in furthering their education,” said Tom Nobbe, Chairman of the EDF Board. “As a foundation, we strive to develop the workforce and give students valuable opportunities that encourages their learning and future success in the industry.”

The EDF Scholarship promotes the retention of long-term employees by aiding them in their educational training and development. Scholarships were awarded for a wide range of educational opportunities including technical training and four year degrees.
