Mower Manufacturer Builds Success Based on Product Quality and Relationships
For the second year in a row, Grasshopper has been recognized with a Dealer’s Choice Award from the Equipment Dealers Association, demonstrating once again the value of the company’s guiding principles.
“Dealers build their businesses around products on which they can stake their reputations,” said Grasshopper president Stan Guyer. “This second Dealer’s Choice Award is validation we’re getting it right based on their expectations.”
Grasshopper, a leading manufacturer of commercial-grade zero turn turf equipment, including mowers and turf renovation implements, received the Dealer’s Choice Award in the Outdoor Power Equipment category. The award is based on top ratings the company received for operations and support in the EDA 2016 Dealer-Manufacturer Relations Survey Report.
Guyer said product quality and innovation are foundations of the company’s success. “As we were pioneering commercial-grade zero turn mowers in the late 1960s, off-the-shelf components were not available,” he noted. “We maintain the same ‘test and prove’ mentality today that was created out of necessity back then.”
That commitment includes a focus on continued product improvement. “We have the flexibility as a family-owned company to place quality and relationships ahead of numbers,” said Guyer. “Continuous improvement throughout, whether it’s design to manufacturing to final assembly or delivering parts, has led to a level unmatched in the industry. Our priority is for each customer to happily reflect on their purchase at one, five or 20 years and know they made the right choice.”
He expressed gratitude on behalf of Grasshopper and its employees to EDA members who provided such positive rankings in the survey.
