Scag Receives 3rd Dealer’s Choice Award in OPE Category

Receiving stand-out ratings among other manufacturers, Scag has earned the 2018 Dealers Choice Award for the outdoor power equipment (OPE) category. The company was previously honored for their success in this category in both 2014 and 2017. Despite being the third time the company has received this recognition, President Chris Frame still values the hard work that it takes to take the title every year. He said, “Ongoing efforts, large and small, to offer better products and provide better support lead to positive outcomes for us all.”

Scag is no stranger to positive outcomes. Along with winning the Dealers Choice Award, they also earned the Gold Level Award in 2015 and 2016 for their exemplary ratings. The company realizes the benefits that their success provides its dealers. “Dealer success is of the utmost importance to Scag,” said Frame, “if we can continue to provide ‘Simply the Best’ products, and stand behind the dealer with top-notch sales, marketing and service support, we all win.”

The company uses the yearly scores from the survey to gauge which areas of the business need attention in order to remain successful. Frame said, “We continually evaluate all functions of our business to determine which areas we can improve upon.  Our programs, our products, our support… everything is on the table for improvement.  The EDA Dealer-Manufacturer Relations Survey provides us a snapshot as to how our current efforts are being received by our dealers, and helps to indicate any general areas which might need additional focus going forward.”

Communication within the company and the dealer network is key, according to Frame. “We are always asking ourselves, ‘How can we do it better? ’We listen to our distributors, dealers and end-users, and try to react appropriately and swiftly to meet their needs.” Along with communication, Frame said that Scag promotes a “can-do attitude” throughout all parts of the company and a promise to its dealers and consumers to always “make things right when they do not go perfectly.”
