EDA’s OPE Dealer Council will hold one of its regular meetings in conjunction with the upcoming GIE-EXPO, October 18-20 in Louisville, KY. EDA’s OPE Dealer Council is comprised of OPE dealers from across the US and Canada and is charged with addressing the needs of industry and EDA members who sell outdoor power equipment products.
The primary objectives of the OPE Council are:
- To hold an active position within EDA that empowers the council to effectively address OPE industry concerns in a timely and forthright manner;
- To identify legislative and regulatory issues affecting dealers and their businesses at the national, state and provincial levels;
- To improve relations between OPE dealers and manufacturers by conducting regular discussions that serve to improve the welfare of OPE dealers; and
- To create and/or enhance a “Win-Win” partnership between OPE dealers and manufacturers that clearly identifies and defines the expectations of both parties.
During the past year, the council made significant strides in achieving these objectives, but their remains work to be done. Input from dealers is vital to the council’s efforts to help OPE dealers succeed. If you have an issue(s) that you would like to have addressed by the Council and ultimately the EDA board of directors please contact Joe Dykes via email at email@example.com.
